Hot melt adhesive is one of the types of adhesives that has developed rapidly in recent years. Compared with other types of adhesives, it has unparalleled advantages and is widely used. However, with the continuous improvement of product quality requirements, this glue still has weak links in some key technologies, and the product stability is poor.
This paper first analyzes how different types of tackifying resins will affect the properties of SIS hot melt adhesives. The results show that the comprehensive properties of the glue made of rosin resin are better than those of petroleum resin, and the properties of petroleum resin modified by copolymerization and hydrogenation are improved. The adhesive properties of the same tackifying resin prepared by different manufacturers are also very different. The effect of tackifier resin dosage on the properties of SIS hot melt adhesives is then discussed. The melt viscosity of rosin resin first decreased and then increased, and the melt viscosity of colloid made of petroleum resin increased first and then decreased. After decreasing, it increases; with the increase of binder resin dosage, the initial viscosity of the colloid shows a decreasing trend, and the 180° peel strength shows a decreasing trend.
Secondly, the influence of the amount of elastomer SIS and the parameters of SIS and SBS on its performance is discussed. With the increase of the amount of elastomer SIS, the softening point, melt viscosity and initial viscosity of the colloid showed an upward trend, and the 180° peel strength showed an upward trend, and then increased. When the amount of elastomer SIS is 30%, the overall performance is the best. With the increase of the elastomer block ratio, the softening point of the adhesive increases, and the melt viscosity, 180° peel strength and initial viscosity decrease. The comprehensive performance of SBS hot melt adhesive is not as good as that of SIS; when the diblock content increases within a certain range , the softening point and melt viscosity of SIS gradually decreased, the initial viscosity basically did not change significantly, and the 180° peel strength first increased and then decreased; on the basis of the block ratio, the relative molecular mass, softening point, melt viscosity and 180° The peel strengths were all higher than linear SIS.
On the basis of discussing the main factors affecting the performance of hot melt adhesives, it is necessary to select suitable thermoplastic elastomers and tackifying resins according to the performance requirements of panty-shape diaper normal temperature structural adhesives. After continuous optimization of performance, panty-shape diaper room temperature structural adhesive was prepared. The melt viscosity at 160°C is 0.98Pa's, the softening point is 77.4°C, the peel strength at 180° is 6.50.cm, the initial viscosity is 5#, and the viscosity is greater than 48h.
Although hot melt glue is only used for bonding for most people. However, with the continuous development of its technology, when panty-shape diaper is in the manufacturing process, not only the factors affecting the performance of the glue should be considered, but also whether the glue and panty-shape diaper are suitable.
