Bio based hot melt adhesive is a kind of adhesive that comes from renewable resources in whole or in part. The test standards mainly include USDA biopreferred ® And OK bio based, etc. It is a kind of adhesive that can be quickly degraded into small molecules such as water and carbon dioxide / methane through the life activities of microorganisms in the natural environment. The test standards include gb/t 20197-2006, EN13432 and ASTM d-6400. The contribution of biodegradable rubber focuses on reducing the pollution to the soil, atmosphere and marine environment, while the contribution of bio based rubber focuses on reducing greenhouse gas emissions and sustainable development.
Its development is more and more perfect. For example, bio Based Polyamide (PA) adhesive has been industrialized with complete raw materials; Bio based polyurethane (PU) adhesives, divided into moisture reactive adhesives (PUR) and thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU), have been used in industry. Bio based polyester, EVA rubber and rubber rubber are still in the development stage, and Braskem in Brazil is about to produce bio based EVA. The bio base content of this adhesive is 20% - 100%, which is mainly used in electronics, automobiles, clothing, footwear, paper products, packaging and other fields.
The development of biodegradable hot melt adhesive has a history of about ten years. The main polymers are PLA, PCL, pbs/pbat, PHBV, PPC, PVA or their combinations. Biodegradable plasticizers and natural tackifying resins are added to achieve their viscosity. Low molecular weight polymers are selected or made by ourselves to adjust their viscosity. At the same time, the cost can be reduced by adding modified starch or soybean protein. At present, the adhesive mainly designed can be used in the field of paper bonding and packaging.
Biological hot melt adhesive is a promising glue. At present, the product is basically in the development stage, but the market demand has gradually emerged. It is predicted that bio based and biodegradable adhesives will be applied on a large scale in the fields of packaging, sanitary materials and tapes in the next 3-5 years.
